Quartet in F Major, Kv370 (Mozart); Quartet in F Major, Op. 8, No. 3 (Stamitz) (flute, violin, viola, cello) Online now

Description
Two quartets from two masters of the form, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Karl Stamitz. The Mozart KV370 quartet is often considered one of Mozart s greatest compositions. These two quartets were originally written for oboe and strings, but are often played – as here – by flute because of their fine effect on that instrument. Both demonstrate a thorough command of the wind and string sonorities, and they form perfect projects for the chamber-minded flutist. Includes a newly engraved music score printed on high-quality ivory paper; and a compact disc containing a complete performance of the concerto in split-channel stereo, with the soloist on the right channel; and a second performance in full stereo minus the soloist.
Accompaniment: Members of the Beaux Arts String Quartet
